Bumper and Cladding Coat 2 Adhesion Primer

Bumper & Cladding Coat 2 Adhesion Primer is an improved version of our popular Bumper and Cladding Coat adhesion primer. This advanced solvent-based, non-sandable primer is designed to stick to "problem plastics" like TPO, TEO, and PP without sanding or pretreatment. The reducer and primer concentrate are mixed at the time of use, which results in a smoother finish with fewer imperfections. Bumper & Cladding Coat 2 complies with all national and California VOC regulations.

Application:

Clean bumper with 1000 Super Clean Plastic Cleaner according to the directions on the can.
Stir or shake Bumper & Cladding Coat 2 PART A.
Mix thoroughly: PART A 1:1 by volume with PART B.
At room temperature with 1.0 - 1.3mm gun, apply on or two light coats as needed to achieve hide.
Let dry for one hour at 75°F (21°C) or 15 minutes at 130°F (54°C).
Topcoat with any non-catalyzed base-clear topcoat system any time after Bumper and Cladding Coat is completely dried.
Do not topcoat with catalyzed basecoats, single stage urethane pain, or any 2K primers and sealers. See approved topcoats here.
Bumper and Cladding Coat 2 Adhesion Primer may be used up to seven days after mixing, if it is stored in a sealed container.

Technical Information:

Compatible Substrates: Bumper and Cladding 2 Adhesion Primer is optimized for raw unprimed TPO, TEO, and polypropylene (PP). Bumper and Cladding Coat 2 Adhesion Primer my be sprayed on these surfaces without sanding of scuffing. On other materials, scuffing and sanding is required.
