Insta-Weld is an amazingly powerful adhesive on hard plastics like ABS. It has many other uses too. Try it on everything. It will either work or not work... instantly. Just listen to what one satisfied customer had to say...
"I just wanted to write to tell you that your InstaWeld kit saved me $600 on a new fairing for my beautiful Yamaha YZF750 sportbike. One of the alignment and attachment tabs through which a screw passes to connect two pieces of the fairing had not just cracked, but broken into six or seven pieces. Two-part epoxy couldn't hold it. But, in half an hour with the InstaWeld kit, I had put pieces back together, filled in the cracks, and sanded it down so that the metal screw receptacle fit right on. I put the fairing back on the bike with no trouble. A new fairing piece would have cost me $600. This product is amazing." Ari Gabinet |
Insta-Weld instant adhesives are so easy to use. Simply apply the adhesive and spray it with Activator to instantly cure the adhesive. It's that easy. It doesn't work on all plastics, but you won't wait long to find out if it doesn't work.

You have two different choices in viscosities. The "thin" adhesive has a viscosity similar to water. The "thick" glue is about the consistency of 30 weight oil.
The thin glue works best when you have a clean break with no gap to fill. It will literally wick its way into the crack. Give it a shot of Activator and you're done.
The thick glue works best when you need to fill a gap. Most people prefer the thick glue. It outsells the thin adhesive 5 to 1. It's less likely to run out all over the place.
The Flex Gel is a rubber-toughened cyanoacrylate adhesive that has some flexiblity (but not a lot) after it cures.

You have two-choices on the activator. We have regular and fast... (We were going to call it "slow and fast", but "slow" made it sound like it slowed down the cure... and that is definitely not the case.)
With the regular (black label) activator, one shot will cure the adhesive in about 10 seconds. The fast activator (red label) will cure the adhesive in about 5 seconds.

This specially blended powdered compound is used with the Insta-Weld 1 adhesive.
Many high-volume Insta-Weld users buy the 1 lb. bottle as an "economy refill" and use it to fill the bottles on their own. Of course, sometimes the tip just gets too clogged and it's better to start over.
